Spring....oh no, wait!

We have had more than a few splendid days in the past two weeks. I am talking running outside without my lungs hurting because the chill is so bad, days. With this newfound weather, we have been enjoying outside activities. I have been waiting to start up our bi-weekly trips to the zoo again, playing outside everyday, and running outside more than once or twice a week. Here are a couple pictures of our trip to the Norfolk Zoo. I get these shots every time we go, it is kind of a fun way to watch how quickly these kiddos grow in just under a year.

*THE SWINGSET*
I have been waiting to get one of these in our backyard till Mr. B was up and mobile, thankfully that turned into just before Spring!!! After 3 days of Brad breaking his back to get this thing put together (that is what the 3-day weekends are for, right?!), the kids were more than excited (as was Mom who can already picture the 3-hour naps and worn out kids everyday from now on.....*ahh*..., I can dream...) Just as our luck would have it, the day after assembly, the temps are back in the 30's with rain/snow flurries, not cool!

Here is just a moment I attempted to catch on camera. Miss A does love a book or two and before dinner last night I found her in between the couch and coffee table reading. Of course when I tried to get a memorable picture of her, these are what she offered me.....*sigh*...at least she was reading a book!

In other news, Miss A has become a potty trained girl. She started out a little rough, but has managed to see the cleaner ways of life and we are almost there! Hopefully the trend continues and we can say in another month it is complete! You go Miss A!! We are SO proud of you!!

Conversations....

Here is a quick little conversation between Daddy and daughter.

Daddy: "I am going to go inside, give myself a haircut and jump in the shower."
Miss A: "Daddy, you do not have any hair!"

Funny, funny, little girl!

Who let the dogs out?

Sorry for the crazy video on the last post, I hope this one does not do the same....we will see!
Anyway, while we were home Miss A got introduced to the Wii and the Just Dance game. Thanks to her 'favorite' Uncle Walt, she really enjoys the song, Who Let The Dogs Out.

By the way, I am not sure why my children are always naked in my videos, I promise, I do dress them on a regular basis!

~Enjoy

How our lives have changed..

Mr. B~
You are finally on-the-go. Why does being able to walk make it OK to get into EVERTHING? While you were crawling you could still reach the outlets, Bailey's bowls of food and water, the books and magazines. BUT, now you feel the need to continuously get into all of it over and over and over. You keep me on my toes!

You made it through your first (and hopefully last), worst haircut. I thought it would be a good idea to give you a trim before our trip back to IL for the Holiday's. I honestly did not think using the trimmers would be so difficult!! *Whoops* So, a good ol' buzz cut it turned out to be. I will admit it took me about 3 days to get over how short it was. I even kept your hat on you while we were shopping so no one would see what I did to your hair!! Oh well, that was short lived and I am glad we did it. Not too sure what we will do once this next hair cut rolls around...

A few words are leaving your tongue these days. pzzz (please), Dada, Ginger, Sis, Mama (or so I think....). You are a babbler like your sister was at your age, I do enjoy your stories. The car seems to be your most thought inspiring times and the stories you come up are book worthy I am sure.

Just a few pictures...

Splashing and making a mess (surprise, surprise). This was your Aunt Meg's idea while visiting Grandma and Papa's house, turned out to be quite the fun mess!! (Thanks, Aunt Meg!!)

Life with you and your sister,....just priceless.

You are very independent and have been for a while. You want to feed yourself so I let you, no matter how messy you get.

Flying an airplane, just like Daddy!

And off you go......

P.S....
I would like to ask a favor..... I know you are all about asserting your independence, but when we are in a parking lot, could you please not let go of my hand, turn around and make a mad dash for it?! For my sanity and you ever setting foot on the ground again, I would appreciate it!! Love, Mom

To Miss A~

I love you to pieces.

You are a little over two and half years old now. I have enjoyed every day with you. The quiet, sleepy, loud, humorous, challenging and just plain fun moments. You challenge me to teach you all the time because you are a sponge. You make me laugh when you want to be silly. You keep me on my toes because you do not forget a thing! You tug at my heart with your nurturing and thoughtfulness towards your brother and others. On the other hand, you make my blood boil when you knock your brother over yet again or hit him on the head (after we have talked endlessly about it). It shocks me when you tell me 'No!' , "Leave me alone!", or 'Go Away!' It swells my heart to see how proud you get when you accomplish things by yourself. You remind me of me!

You were pretty sick over the weekend and it was your very first, lay around all day, can not keep anything down, hold me and do not let me go kind of sick. Enough to make me not want to let you go (but not enough to sleep with you all night, sorry Kid, I just can not do it!!) You bounced back tremendously though with a superb attitude, appetite! I can not wait to see what each new day holds for us! Thank you for letting me not be perfect and still know you are such an amazing girl!

At the squadron Christmas Party.

Not a huge fan of Santa when he visited Grandma and Papa's house.

Getting good at 'Cheese'!

A beautiful, smart, entertaining, and lovable girl.
~I love you~
