Candy Walk Anyone??

Each year the Flying Squadrons host a Fall Festival for all the kiddos. I helped out with our squadron's booth which was a Candy Walk, like the Cake Walk but the kids get a bag of candy after. It was pretty fun to see all the creative costumes running around. We saw Thomas the Train, a LOT of princess', an infant lady bug, a couple power rangers, and the list goes on. Addison joined me in helping with the booth, no costume for her just a fun BOO onesie. Although......everyone kept saying how cute my 'pumpkin' was, not sure if that was for the orange outfit or her plumpness, or a little bit of both, either way we had a fun morning celebrating with the kids.

After the festival we went on an adventure with our friend Jamie to a traditional Okinawan village full of local crafts where you can make your own shisha dogs, clocks, bingata's, etc.  We did not have a lot of time to do any crafts, but we did sample their version of a snow cone (which was tasty) and visited a greenhouse full of banana plants (are they plants or trees?) where we had the most delicious banana ice cream.   Thankfully the weather has started to cool down a little bit to make accomplishing outside activities enjoyable once again.

Here we are enjoying the banana ice cream and those are the plants/trees of banana's behind us.
