29 Days and Counting,

till you are ONE years old little boy! What a whirlwind and joy this past year has been with you. I am one lucky Momma to get to spend everyday with a smile like this one!!

I never know where I am going to find you if I leave you in a room alone for more than 30 seconds. I have to say I was impressed with this one, under the desk with the chair pulled back in, you talented kid you.....

You will make sure to have every piece of kitchen food, bowls, and utensils out of their baskets and drawers so you do not miss out on playing with anything!!

Ahh, how could I resist when your sister asked to hold you when I got a bottle ready! This did not last more than a minute (on her part that is), but we will take what we can get.

I started you on cheerios one week and the next you were an expert with the snack cup and 10 cheerios in your mouth at a time! Ohhh I have a feeling you are going to eat us out of house and home little boy!

You can do it,.....reach.....a little more....ahh, there ya go! I think you got all but 10 books off of the shelf. This is one of your favorite daily activities, YAY for Momma to get to clean them up at the end of the day!

Here is a fun clip for Daddy! Mr. B is a mover and a shaker now! Can not wait till you get to help chase him around the house.

How am I doing so far...

Mr B. in the last 24 hours has put a dead fly, pine needle, leaves, grass and pieces of bark in his mouth (not quite sure how much was actually consumed, I did get all but one wing of the fly out.....yuck!) BUT he is starting to master the whole army crawl/scoot so that makes me feel a smidge better.

Day 1 of potty training, 4 new pairs of underwear in just 2 hours.....

Ahh busy crazy messy days, I look forward to the challenge!

Warms my heart

Miss A has taken the Kokeshi dolls off of my shelf and lined them up to count them, you know, 2, 6, 4, 13, 9, 1.

Better yet, she takes them and kisses their face and says' I love you', then kisses the top of their heads and says 'I love you'. She then proceeds to do the same thing with the next in line.

Now she is playing 'house' with them. SO cute. ( I know if I went to get the camera, this would all stop, so this is the best I can do to paint a picture of how cute this scene is.)

Ahh, I love my life and this girl!

Mr. B: 10 Months

Mr. B,

*A.k.a 'Tank" as your Uncle Matt has nicknamed you, quite fitting I would say so myself.

*You are such a cute little boy. You have a laugh that fills the room and gets everyone else laughing right along with you. Your voice is so deep you have to give a second glance to make sure it is coming from your little mouth.

*You L.O.V.E the water. You would splash all day if I let you. I did not know any kid could smile, or be content for the matter, for as long as when you are in the pool! Oh, I love you handsome boy, you make me smile, a lot!

*I witnessed your first encounter with your sister and sharing. You were not a big fan, but your sister is thankfully into helping out and she was happy to make you happy, (another thing I love, but do not get used to that one bud!)

*You are not crawling around yet. You figure that rolling, going backwards on your belly, and twirling in circles on your belly is good enough to get you where you need to go in a timely manner.

*You still LOVE your sister, and she does you (most of the time). I wish that lasts forever between the two of you.

*You fill my heart with SO much love everyday, Thank you!

*You are eating cheerios and puffs like they are the last meal you are going to get. Gobble, gobble little man, please slow down!

*I have not given you enough of the green veggies lately because you are starting to make the funny face and gag when I give them to you. You know what that means, we might be a little heavy on the greens for a week till you remember how much you like them!!

*You are still a rock star in the car, especially for our trip to and from IL. You slept your usual 12 hours which worked out perfectly for us so Thanks! You look like such a Big boy in your new car seat too, boo, you are growing too fast.

Here are a few pictures from our trip to IL.

Getting to know your cousin (who is 4 months older). He did not sit still for very long because he was crawling off to bigger and better things. This however, did not encourage you to crawl, but just watch him go back and forth, back and forth with a smile.

Having fun with your Papa.

Did I mention you like to splash? OK, just making sure.
.

We were able to celebrate your Baptism in the Church your sister was and Mom and Dad were married! What a glorious day. You were surrounded by the Love of Christ and I could feel it.

Your Godparents, Aunt Ginger and Aunt Meghan.

*Happy 10 months handsome boy! Slow down these next two months for me would ya, I am not ready to celebrate another birthday quite yet.

2 Years: 24 Months: 730 Days.....

No matter how you look at it, 2 is what you are little Miss A, and you say it proudly! Oh how I have envied your life thus far. The travel, clothes (do not get me started on how many clothes and shoes you have), naps, food, friends, how many people LOVE you unconditionally, and a sweet smile to top it all off.

*Your vocabulary exploded this past month! I am still trying to catch up with all of the new words that have come out of your mouth! We have conversations now, it is so much fun listening to what you will say next.

*A monkey is what you remind me of. You climb on e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g! Your Grandma says that is exactly how your Daddy was too....(hmmmm).

*You still enjoy your books immensely. You not only will sit and listen to them, but you have heard a handful of them so many times, you will read them to yourself now! (It warms my heart listening to you.)

*Stickers are a good 30 minute project for you (and me) now a days. I will find them in your hair, on your cheeks, pillows, couch, shoes,....... fun times.

*Directions are fun to give because you not only listen, but follow through with what I ask. You have become such a great help and more of an independent girl by doing this. I am proud of you!

*Food is still a pretty easy task with you. You know what is your favorite, but will still eat what is asked (even if we have to ask more than once).

*You talk and try to entertain your little brother more and more. What a delight this is to watch. You try and help with his diaper, bottle, and with his burp rags.

A few pictures of our fun summer in IL. Yum, watermelon season!! You enjoyed playing in your Papa's camper. You even got to ride around the block in it ( Mom and Dad were not home when this happened ;-)

*You are a very curious girl. If something new has crossed your path or you are really interested, you will get right down, listen and learn all you can about it. So fun to watch!

You were able to celebrate your Birthday with most of your family. What a perfect day to play, swim, open gifts, and blow out your candles. You got a lot of fun books, clothes, bubbles, and many more fun toys. One gift Mom is happy about is your trampoline, anything to help get your energy out at the end of the day!

*Oh yeah, you enjoy anything DORA. "Dora, boots, map, backpack, swiper jibber jibber fox, tico, jibber, jibber, ohhh maaaan" is what you ramble off when you hear the word Dora.

You stole my heart the first time I saw you Miss A. You still do when I get to watch you enjoy this little world you consider your own. Happy Birthday!

'That Kid'

You know the kind.....

'That kid' who talks loud and screams during church.

'That kid' who screams and throws themselves on the floor in any store.

'That kid' who when you are on the phone with someone is screaming in your ear because all they want is the phone you are talking on to play with.

'That kid' who yells NO! NO! NO! NO! to everything you say.

Well, my sweet 2 year old is slowly turning her wheels in that direction. YIKES! With her ever expanding vocabulary (and a Mom trying to figure out which new word she is yelling at me because I have not heard it before and has no idea what she is saying) we have had plenty of practice with the frustrated yelling.

LORD, please help us in this journey we are embarking on. Please give Miss A and I patience to work together in finding a solution to these demanding situations.....

***Disclaimer.....I wrote this post about two weeks ago and had yet to post it because life kept getting in the way. Miss A has been doing *better* on her demands, but my short little prayer seems to always leave my mouth every night still. ***** More of what we have been up to this past month and a half to come.....
